How do I know if my vehicle uses R134a or R1234yf refrigerant? +

Vehicles built before 2014 typically use R134a refrigerant. Most 2015+ models and nearly all new cars use eco-friendly R1234yf. We have dedicated recovery stations for both systems and check the under-hood factory emission label before service.

Why shouldn't I just buy a DIY A/C recharge can from a retail store? +

DIY cans lack vacuum pumps to remove moisture and contain chemical "stop-leak" sealants that gum up expansion valves, ruin recovery machines, and frequently over-pressurize compressors, leading to expensive component failure.
