SUSPENSION & ALIGNMENT QUESTIONS

Do I always need an alignment after replacing suspension parts? +

Yes, absolutely. Replacing struts, tie rods, control arms, or ball joints alters the mechanical geometry between the chassis and wheels. Without a computerized 3D alignment, brand new tires can be completely ruined in less than 2,000 km.

How long do factory shocks and struts last in Hamilton? +

On average, shock absorbers and strut dampening assemblies last between 80,000 to 120,000 km. However, harsh Ontario freeze-thaw potholes and road salt corrosion can cause hydraulic seal degradation much earlier.
