SUSPENSION & ALIGNMENT QUESTIONS
Yes, absolutely. Replacing struts, tie rods, control arms, or ball joints alters the mechanical geometry between the chassis and wheels. Without a computerized 3D alignment, brand new tires can be completely ruined in less than 2,000 km.
On average, shock absorbers and strut dampening assemblies last between 80,000 to 120,000 km. However, harsh Ontario freeze-thaw potholes and road salt corrosion can cause hydraulic seal degradation much earlier.
